Clay and Pottery wheels T & C - FAQ’s
Terms & Conditions
Your pottery will be ready to collect one week from the date you painted and must be collected at the latest, three months from completion. We are unable to keep pottery any longer due to space. Items painted, must be paid for on the day, whether finished or not, wanted or not. If you do not finish painting on the day, we can store an item and you can return to paint. A £5 studio fee must be paid. It must be kept in the shop and completed within 2 weeks.  You can paint for several hours if you wish to finish it.  For this reason we highly recommend that you arrive at least two hours before closing time and are not in a rush during your visit.   It is our policy to charge for breakages if children are not adequately supervised. If the item is painted, it will be charged at full price and if not painted at 50%. Mudpie is a cafe only for painters. Aggressive and intimidating behaviour towards staff or other customers will not be tolerated at any time and it will gain you a lifetime ban from our premises. You must inspect your items when you collect.  Please allow time for this. All clay courses and pottery wheel must be booked. It rarely happens but excessive use of paints, will incur a £5 studio fee.  Paints/glazes must be used for the pottery only, not painting tables, papers, chairs, etc. We are a “Studio fee” free studio and would like it to remain this way so all who paint here can benefit from that discount. You cannot bring in food, drink or decorations unless you have, A) booked a party plan with us, B) it is baby food for under 1 year old or C) or it is an adult Thursday evening. You cannot bring in Alcohol at Mudpie during the day. Please do not use baby wipes in the studio before, during or after painting.  They do not allow glazes to adhere to the pottery properly.  Once you use them there is also a chance of cross contamination. If you do use them, we cannot guarantee your piece of pottery and please make sure you do not touch paints, brushes or pottery on shelves.
